Hundreds of supporters of healthcare ralleied in front of the Illinois State Capitol to support 33,000 Illinois residents at risk of losing essential health coverage on July 1, 2025. Illinois is a state that prides itself on being a refuge for all. We have always been a welcoming state to all those coming to work and build up our state. At a time when the federal government is cutting Medicare, Illinois needs to stand firm and protect those 33,000 Illinoisans who are poised to lose their healthcare. Without health coverage, lives will be lost, children will be left without parents and communities will be burdened as more individuals are incapacitated by crushing medical debt.
